I'm pleased to say that I was fairly accurate with my prediction of Julio Jones. The veteran player of 32 years was expected to receive as 93 overall. But, he checked in with the Titans and scored a staggering rating of 95. Jones scored that high in Madden 22 and EA seems to not care about his age or his health. It's possible Jones could be a top five WR in Madden 22, depending on how other receivers are placed.
Broken tackles aren't exactly the identical to running backs before Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans star rusher -- at least, for those of us who weren't part of the "Madden NFL 22". Henry frequently runs defenders over on the football field thanks to his size and under-rated speed. We've also seen Henry force players to another dimension over his career.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Alabama product has earned more yards following contact than any other team since 2019. According Pro Football Focus, Henry also has more yards after contact in the same period of time than any other running back (Dalvin cook) and has more total rushing yards.
The best player in the NFL is more difficult to bring down than Henry. Simply put, Henry is the toughest. However, none of this matters to the developers of "Madden NFL 22." The video game gave Henry his break-tackle rate of 95. He was third in all running backs. Breaking tackles extends beyond being able to run through opponents with a stiff-arm. Henry can also cause issues by making other players miss by making nasty cuts across the field, and near the line.
While Nick Chubb and Dalvin Cook are both excellent running backs, they should not be ahead of Henry. Furthermore Henry, the former Heisman Trophy winner could easily be rated 99 in this category.
