Seems like a perfect chance for them....to promote them to you as Scratch things and call them the"GVS" models or something. I am confident they do update them but it's more lucrative for them to sell you the remade from scratch outfits than providing them at no cost. I have worked in the market in the past and rigging palms up is not hard work, the issue is how many costume items would need to be altered without a monetary justification. Plus giving people completely working items with the advantages (on what's basically a brand new game) could deincentivise players buying the"new" stuff. Yeah. But with recolors and sell them as new instead of giving us the ability to recolor them freely. And the ones that you can recolor costs exchanging scratch things to get a color overhaul.
Personal speculation: PSO2 has been ported into the NGS engine to keep players occupied between NGS content releases. No new content will be published to it outside of cosmetics, of which will be obtained/ported out of NGS events/scratches to have folks to perform with that. It'll be removed after a couple of years after all of the players have migrated over and the only people in the PSO2 blocks are diehards holdouts/nostalgia. Probably. It is a brand new game so chances are like any Online RPG the first release will not have much about an endgame for those players who hit max level on day 1. It'll be wonderful to simply switch blocks anytime I want struck up an old UQ though. There's never a reason not to see magatsu.
Excellent FAQ, answers a whole lot of my initial doubts.
Gosh, this looks so complicated. On the 1 hand, kudos for keeping the original game intact so there will not be a riot over fluctuations people do not like. However on the flip side, since they are remaking base PSO2 visuals anyhow, I wish they'd only go 100% and synchronize personality models entirely. Giving old players some free fashion items and unlocks would be sufficient to bribe everyone to accept the new system.
